Any responsible persons representing youth involved in an extracurricular activity that is associated with a cost are eligible to volunteer.
- All volunteers must have a Tulsa County Food Handler’s permit card. The course can be taken online here: https://tulsa.foodemployeepermit.org/
- You can obtain a free Volunteer’s Food Handler’s Permit card (only good for one year) here: https://tulsa-health.org/forms/food-safety-volunteer-online-training/
- All volunteers 18 and older must have an Oklahoma Alcohol Beverage Employee License. This can be obtained online here: https://oklahoma.gov/able-commission.html
- All volunteers 18 and older must also take the Accelerated Oklahoma Server Training here: https://5-99-accelerated-oklahoma-server-training.com/
- OCC may be able to offer a limited number of positions for minors. Each minor must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Volunteers must be at least 18 to work at BOK and Cox Convention Center, and 21 to operate a register and serve or handle alcohol.
- Volunteers must be at least 16 to work at the Expo Center, and 21 to operate a register and serve or handle alcohol.
- Volunteers must be at least 14 to work at Drillers Games, and 18 to operate a register and serve or handle alcohol.
- All minors working at Drillers Games must have a minor consent form on-file.
- Volunteers must be at least 16 to work at Oktoberfest, and 21 to operate a register and serve or handle alcohol.
- Oktoberfest MAY accommodate younger volunteers to work non-alcoholic beverage stands under adult supervision.
- Minors may only sign up for events if accompanied by an adult that is also volunteering & claiming responsibility for them at the event (parent, guardian, family friend, etc.).
- Volunteers may not sign up for events until all required permits/licenses are obtained, and copies are emailed to okcompetitivechampions@gmail.com
